Kelis Rogers-Jones (born August 21, 1979),[1] better known as Kelis (pronounced kuh-LEECE), is an American R&B singer-songwriter. Since her debut, Kelis has had nine top forty singles as a solo artist and, as a featured artist, has had six top forty singles to date. She has also won one BRIT Award and has been nominated for two Grammy Awards.
